# Gearment Policy on Counterfeit Postage Labels

### Counterfeit Postage Label Policy

**Effective date: November 21, 2024**

Gearment strictly prohibits the use of counterfeit or fraudulent postage labels.
To comply with USPS requirements and applicable U.S. laws, all postage labels provided for orders fulfilled by Gearment must be legitimate and meet the shipping requirements outlined below.

### User Responsibility
Users are responsible for ensuring that all postage labels they provide to Gearment are valid and legitimate.

If a postage label is identified or flagged as counterfeit by USPS or any U.S. governmental authority, the user who provided the label will be responsible for the violation and any consequences arising under applicable U.S. law.

### What Happens If a Counterfeit Label Is Detected?

If an account is found to have provided counterfeit postage labels:

* The Gearment account will be **permanently suspended**.
* Any balance remaining in the Gearment wallet will become **non-withdrawable**.
* All ongoing orders associated with the account will be **placed on hold** and will not be printed or shipped.
* Gearment may provide information related to the account and violation to USPS or other relevant governmental authorities for investigation and potential legal action.

This policy is final. **No appeals will be accepted for accounts found in violation.**
### Ship-From Address Requirements

Gearment requires the shipping label to contain the **exact ship-from address** provided for the applicable Gearment fulfillment location.
The ship-from ZIP code must be one of the following:
* **92843**
* **77478**

Labels containing any other ship-from ZIP code will be rejected.

|| **Important:** ZIP code **92647 is no longer accepted as of January 24, 2025**.

### Counterfeit Postage Labels

Counterfeit postage labels include, but are not limited to, labels that are fraudulent, falsified, altered, duplicated, or otherwise identified by USPS or a relevant U.S. governmental authority as counterfeit or invalid.

Users are responsible for verifying the legitimacy of their postage labels before submitting them to Gearment.
### Policy Scope

This policy has been effective since **November 21, 2024,** and applies to all existing and future users of the Gearment platform.
